I read somewhere that graphite can be used as an alternative to talc and actually gives more detail to the casting.
I tried it myself and it seemed to work OK. It was a bit messy, as the powder goes everywhere.
But I'm not experienced enough to assess the quality of the figure. Looked fine to me, as long as they wind up with two legs I'm happy!
Has anyone else ever tried this? And did you find a source of graphite beyond the tiny tubes they here in the USA for lubricating locks?
