Hi,
i have recently started casting with PA metal. I first used model metal, and the results were perfect. Now i started casting 5 start lead free metal (because i have three small children), and even if the results are good overall, i experience some difficulties;
sometimes, the result seems a bit "blurry" (i dont know how to describe it better), The metal becomes a bit grey and not as crisp as usual. Is it a problem of temperature ? Too hot or too cold ? Or some impurities ?
Thanks, Gilles

You need to heat your moulds more than normal (so they are quite warm). This should address the blurry aspect as they will have time to fill the details more before going semi-solid.
