hello.can anyone tell me how much lead and how much tin do i have to mix to make simple casting metal? You should mix about 40 to 50% tin with any lead to make it suitable for casting.

thank you for you're reply.now could you tell me can i use simple acrylic paints that i can buy in most art stores There is nothing to stop you using regular paints from tubes, but the consistancy is too thick, so you must thin it down first. You may wish to add some retarder too to slow the drying process. This can also result is wasting paint as you mix too much of it and it drys and becomes usless. that is why using the Vallejo paint is easier and cheaper in the long run. The bottle is airtight and you can squeeze out just what you need at any one time, and it is already liquid enough to paint on figures.
