I just received my latest purchase from The Dunken Company in Texas, USA. I ordered 10 metal moulds of World War 1 and 2. He had a all of them and threw in an 11th one of a plane that had a hole in it free. I hope I can find something to patch that hole with. It's small but there. Now I am starting to wonder if I am becoming a lead mould collector instead of the actual finished product. I now have 5 PA chess set moulds and 24 old metal moulds. I am stock piling lead from old car batteries, gun shooting ranges, auto places that balance tires and old fishing weights. It is way to hot here now to make anything but this winter I'll really be going full blast making soldiers and cannons.

I think "collecting" is just part of having a hobby. Have fun!

Just received my first crusaders mould. Can't wait to start casting and painting. Also looking to altering them too, as Lensman was talking about a couple of months ago.

To fill the hole, maybe try Epoxy Putty - it is usually used for fixing leaks in pipes etc.

On that metal mould of a plane with the hold in it. My next door neighbor is a mechanic. He recommended something and I tried the stuff he said would work. I can't remember what it was but it fixed the hole, is sandable and fileable, can withstand hot lead. So I'm now making lead planes. Now if someone would just make tanks, trucks, jeeps, cars, WW11 cannons, etc. I noticed the Dunken company has a raft now.
