Samurai are an interesting idea, although I am not so sure about Ninjas as they are usually not seen in large armies, so how many would you need to cast? one or two per mold? Samurai however are seen in larger quantities in war. And could be painted different designs as uniforms were not that relevant then. Good idea. Now how about developing it. What time period, what battle, what poses, armour, weapons, etc. Is there any figures already on the market that are that scale? Keep us informed.

i thought of the samurai mostly, for the weapons i was thinking katanas for the higher ranked samurai and archers would be a nice addition in which case long bows but the foot soldiers (the core of the army) could have pikes or katanas, as you said the uniform does not matter as much but for uniform either robes or kendo. For the time period i thought earlie 15th century when they were clan battles to build empires, iv found a good explanation for the rank structre
The Japanese samurai caste itself had different ranks with different privileges. A basic ranking system from the twelfth century distinguished three major ranks:
kenin - meaning "housemen". They were the administrators or vassals. mounted samurai - Only high-ranking samurai warriors were allowed to fight on horse-back. foot soldiers
i have noticed there are hardly any samurai modles on the market so why not start a new "trend" prince august i think it would become very popular
