hi all, i have just been given a large amount of pewter tankards that are all about 70-100 years old..whilst some are quit nice and possibly rare /colectable most are dented /broken could these be used for figure csting and if o how good will the castings be?

Pewter is harder than the model metal so you must be very careful when casting. Just because they are pewter does not mean they are exactly the same composition as our pewter (they are 100 year old, wow). Try a small amount an see what happens. Follow the casting guide very carefully to maximise the chance of success.

thanks for reply, i have just re-read my thread i must get a bigger keyboard or smaller fingers too many mistakes thanks, ps they are dutch pewter as well lets see how they go.
