Just to say I am a great fan of 25mm. Don't go for the other sizes. To see the new Austerlitz range released last year was great, picked up the moulds on a visit to the shop in Cork. It was great ! Anyone that hasn't been must go. The displays were wonderful. I have had fun recently adopting some of the figures using pins and milliput, trying to have one or two specialised generals to represent Ney, Davout, etc ;D

Hi, I sent the last mail, thought I was logged on. Anyway, 25mm are great. Anyone got any dioramas or terrain that can be viewed? Ciao

I also am a fan of 25mm even though i took a ten year break I have got back into over the last 10 months. I am a lot better at it than in the late 80's early 90's and have had a lot of succes in customizing specific soldiers to meet some needs for diaramas. I have used an old mould of the Scots Greys and used it for royal horse artillery riders looks pretty good. Of course it took a bit of filling and carving but have done a few now. Also have customised a few more makes your Army look a bit different.

I've returned to my 25mm moulds and really enjoy them. ;D
After awhile, I remember why I don't cast more:
I want 1815 "Line" troops. I know, I could 'convert' the grenadiers but not to the numbers I really want to cast. I'd buy multples of the same moulds to get the numbers I want.
Regarding the Austerlitz range: Personally, I was disappointed in the poses. Only two out of three poses in each mould are useful to me.
One in each mould is labeled "advancing" but it really isn't doing so in the traditional style. It's almost as if the pose is really "advancing carefully" or worse "about to load" or even worse; "finished firing". When I look for moulds, at least initially, I would like any of the three "traditional style" poses:
Marching
Advancing
Firing
Anything besides that makes the mould useless. To me.
The Waterloo 25mm range are "perfect" poses. For me.
I'm sure others have no problem with it. Personally, if I owned the company and wasn't the sculptor, I would have had them redone with a real "advancing" figure. If that line isn't selling well, it sure could be that's the reason.
Best Regards, Bill White

Now that I think about it, that Austerlitz "advancing" pose would be perfect for skrimishing troops. I think that it would be a better pose for a British Rifleman or Voltiguer than a line trooper in 1805! But then again, especially if there is ever a British Rifle mould, I would expect those to be...well...firing. Maybe that's how I can use the Austerlitz mould pose I don't like. Make them "skrimishers"?

Hi there, Over the Christmas break, I have created some kneeling royal french soldiers to use re. defensive squares repelling calvary attack. To do this I used the bottom of the kneeling firing soldier and the top of the advancing soldier. Some cutting, sticking and milliput did the job just nicely. Painting them at the moment, pretty good results .....

Hi everyone. Just to say that I also am a big fan of 25mm. I'm very new to casting my own, up to now I've always used the plastic 1/72 stuff, but after a visit to the factory I've been converted! As my interest is almost purely the battle of Waterloo, I too would like to see some poses suitable for squares and some genearic "line regiments" for each army. Can I also recommend that everyone visits the factory if they get the opportunity. Believe me, you won't want to leave! One word of warning though, hand your wallet and credit cards to your missus before you go in!!! Don't say I didn't warn you!
Did PA supply the moulds for the current excellent Del-Prado "Relive Waterloo" series? If not does anyone know who did? And is there any chance at all that any of these moulds might become available at any time in the future?

As always, visit the shop. Look out for the bargain section too. There is a great area to view where the painting is done.

are there new moulds coming for the 25 mm napoleonic serie? Our plans so far are to release new Orc 32mm moulds and then the 54mm Knights. I have not been informed about 25mm Napoleonic moulds yet. We will be discussing the new years releases this November.

I really like your diorama! I'm a wargamer and don't usually make up dioramas but it's inspirational. I like your use of the rocks, the flocking is a good color and the tree really helps give the whole diorama a proper "scale" so the cavalry doesn't look too high. If that makes any sense? Is there enough flock on the base as it seems there are some missed (or clear) spaces? Or is it the photograph? It could be my eyes however! Oh, I like how you piled up the cannon balls behind the gun, btw. Nice touch. I like your site altogether. It's made me want to go and cast up some more models. It's a bookmarked favoriate. Thanks. ;D
