Love your website vivelempereur.
That’s some nice work.
Is the Chasseur Garde Impériale on your site an unmodified Prince August figure (80-3)?
I ask because I have been considering purchasing that mold.

Wow. nice work! How did you manage to post the picture? I've tried but can't figure it out. John To show a picture you must first know the http:// address of it. Either host it yourself or find the address of it in the code of another website (beware that some websites object to this as you steal bandwidth from them). Then just add image tags to each side, which can be done using the 4th icon on the lower row from the left with a tiny landscape image (beside the letter / email link.) Just highlight the link and then press the button. Make sure you have the [/img] at the end of the link, the / tells the program that the tag is complete.

While I do not use Yahoo much myself I believe they probably block direct links to pictures (to prevent abuse). Even your link asked me to sign in first. If it is protected then the image will not show up. Also you have not given the image link, including the image file name and file extension (this is case sensitive too), just the page reference. It HAS to be a direct link to the image itself. If anyone disagrees with me please tell me. I use the image link below for example when I inserted the above image. www.princeaugust.ie/knights/knight_420.jpg

O.K. Let's try this again. The address for the pictures is blindpigs.blogspot.com/So if I have this straight I put the picture brackets around it using the fourth button on the bottom [img src="[/img]http://blindpigs.blogspot.com/ "] Highlight the address and push the putton. Here goes.

Dang! Didn’t work. Oh well, at least there is a working link to pictures of three of my conversions. The first group of fellows in the pink pants are the Prussian 40th Fusiliers converted from Prince August figures with heads from another company. Prince August would be very wise to make a set of head moulds (hint hint) so that I wouldn’t have to go some where else.
Next is an Austrian General from the Prince August Napoleonic Dragoon. As you can see he has been “slightly” changed. The horse’s neck is Milliput built up around a plastic card core.
Finally there are my “Death Head Hussars” converted from the Prince August Napoleonic Chasseur. Again heads, arms and the pipe that the front guy is smoking are from another company plus the neck of the near horse is card and Milliput.
All figures are mounted on Plexiglas bases with metal plates glued to the bottom so that they can be carried to wargames in magnet lined boxes. Yes! These are wargame pieces. I am also working on “Red” and a “Blue” armies made up mainly from Prince August “Traditional” toy soldier figures which give a very nostalgic H.G. Wells type of wargame. Now if Prince August would only make some enemy figures for my Prussians to fight I would be in Hog Heaven.

Well lets try again. Here is another picture, this time from a Napoleonic game back before I started flocking the bases. blindpigs.blogspot.com/[img src="[/img]http://blindpigs.blogspot.com/ "]

Well lets try again. Here is another picture, this time from a Napoleonic game back before I started flocking the bases. blindpigs.blogspot.com/Please note that you must link to the PICTURE itself if you want it to show up. That means you have to link it to the jpeg or gif itself not to the webpage or blog that shows it. Example: www.yourdomain.com/images/picture.jpegNOT just to www.yourdomain.comthen put img to the start and /img at the end. include the [] brackets I have corrected your link as an example.

Wow, I must be the slowest guy going. I just can’t seem to get the hang of this. Believe it or not I come from “Silicon Valley” where every kid seems to be a computer engineer. I find that if I put picture brackets on both sides of the address then the post comes up blank but if I put them only at the end then I simply get the link. This is the admin. I have corrected the problem of the image not showing. you added a / to the end of the jpg. You only do that if you want the search engine to look into a subfolder, as it is an image there is no subfolder. Also put the tags in the right position. Note: please make the images fit the screen, huge images cause the forum to distort. Keep them practical.

Thanks! I will try to post smaller pictures in the future. I have a pair of Prussian Cuirassiers minus the flags and mounted on modified “Napoleon’s” horse (my favorite P.A. horse though the Chasseur and Dragoon horses are also nice). I got to admit, Prince August figures sure make nice figures to convert.
