I've made several chess sets for gifts and the only complaint I've ever had on them is that it can be difficult to learn the pieces on sets like "Field of Flowers" or "Fantasy" and that detracts from the game itself. Most of the people I've given my chess sets to have really liked the Staunton set. Are there any plans for more traditional sets rather than themed sets? I would love to see Isle of Lewis. And of course going the other way, I'd love to see more abstract chess sets. Heck, I'd love to see more chess sets period

I to would LOVE to see more chess sets. A Roman chess set would be great.

I to would LOVE to see more chess sets. A Roman chess set would be great. I agree about the roman set, who would be the opposition though? Also what would be the chess pieces for the romans: Roman Legionnaires for Pawns, Roman Cavalry for Knights, Ceaser for King, Queen Bishop Castle

Winter is approaching here so now it's time to not worry about heating up the house by melting lead. I've already promised a few people lead chess pieces and since I recently bought five mould sets it's time to get started. However, my present chess sets moulds are just to small for my taste but should be good enough for the pople I will be giving some to. What I want to know is there any chance of larger piece moulds for chess sets? At least in the 3" (75mm or larger) sizes. Or about 2 1/2" (50 to 60mm) for the smallest pieces. I suspect lead availability for some may be a problem but I have virtually hundreds of pounds of the stuff so figure sizes could be much larger, easier to paint, more impressive looking.
