We are planning to release the Egyptian chess set in mould form very soon. The website has pictures already available. What do you think.

I have all the chess sets from the Bright Host to the New fantasy set. A Roman Legion set would be GREAT. The Egyptian set is a fine set as are all the chess sets. I will get that one also to keep my collection of chess sets going.

How compatible with standard 54mm Napoleonic figures are the pawns from the Napoleonic chess sets? Many of the pawn figures from the different sets look as though they could do double duty as regular figures or is that just wishful thinking?
By the way the Egyptian set looks gorgeous!

I would rather see the " Celtic Legend " chess set come out in moulds.

I'm a babe in the woods to all of this, but, am attempting to form a custom set from several sets that you carry. The Egyptian set looks great! I will be using it in its entirety to cast the 'black' side of my sets. (eagerly awaiting the challenge) Im using moulds from the Nativity set.. 1855 (W Bishop) 1854 (W W Pawns) 1853 (W Rook) 1852 (W Knight) For the W King, I would like to use ED L011S, (if a mould is availible.) As the W Queen I found that the "Lords of the West" set (mould # unknown), (Queen in blue dress bearing longnecked pitcher), would be perfect as that she is also 57mm, the same as ED L011S (Saruman). This set would depict the Rea Sea crossing, or, Egyptians -vs- Hebrews (therefore, it would be necessary to grind off the scroll name of Saruman on the base of the King, so as to use him to portray Moses. This is to be a gift to several members of my family as keepsakes.

They might work, the bases are almost flat, and if you cast enough they would look like a regiment. Never considered that usuage before. If you try it send me a photo. Would show it on the next newsletter. Thanks for the comment on the new set. I love the assyrian guardian winged lion. A real classic.

Brilliant selection, definatlely a keepsake. I would ask you send in the finished version so I can show everyone. If you send in a larger image I could print it out for the shop wall of fame. We do enjoy such creativity.

I would really like to see a Roman Army chess set. I agree, a roman chess set would be cool, so who would be the opposition?

Hannibal of course. The singular turning point of Roman history was the fight against Carthage.
