Hello,
I would like to use the lead free alloy, but the melting and using temperature is really higher than the model metal. I was wondering if adding bismuth to the 5 star metal would lower the casting temperature ? If so, what proportions should I use ?
Thanks for your advice.

Interesting, I will ask our tool maker what might happen. Normally we do not advise mixing alloys as you get an unpredictable result. Bismuth will lower the melting point. We use about 35% in our Model Metal. However mixing alloys is an art in itself, even trace elements can affect how the casting will turn out. You need to test it very carefully.
