Do you think that this is a good move on our part. Why?

This is a truly excellent idea because although I derive hours of satisfaction casting my own figures there are some figures I only want one or two of and it makes no sense to buy a whole mold to cast one figure. After all how many Napoleons does one need?
One suggestion I would like to make is for Prince August to sell individual parts in addition to whole figures. Many hobbyists like to convert their figures, for example by putting shako heads on the French Guard figures to make line troops, and it is frustrating to cast whole figures simply to take one or two parts and then chuck the rest of the figure back into the melting pot. I am building a 54mm French army for wargameing purposes and need dozens of shako heads, being able to buy them separately would be a great help.

But I find that part of the fun,I keep a stock of spare parts My pot has been going for about 10years I just keep topping it up ;D

This is a great idea, there are lots of people who don't cast but love to paint. I think it opens a whole new market to you and I think you can do alot of business with it.

The idea is excellent. It could be done with most ranges including the 25mm size ( of which I'm a fan). I like the idea of a parts mould ...

this was a good idea.. .I got napoleon ...i would not have found it good value to buy the mould and the metal for a one off figure...
i suppose there are people who would like a wellington....or one or two of the marshals.....

Great Idea. I see little figures of all types being sold around here made of just about everything. Not a lot of people like or know how to make them though so already made anything sells better than an object to make the things.

I think its a good idea. Now if you could tie in one of those Russian/St Petersburg painting studios then you could end up with people coming to get the unpainted pre-cast figures to customise for themselves. After all Pegaso and others all do well in selling kits from the free advertisement received from the Russian studios. See examples such as Soldiers of Great Armies: soga-miniatures.com/Or Military Miniatures Warehouse: www.milminwh.com/painted_figures.htmOr Historical Miniatures 'by George Grasse' (ie via St Petersburg): www.histomin.com/wpline/wpline.htmI think that Prince August's Prussians or Napoleonics would blow away quite a lot of the opposition if a Russian studio was to take buying pre-assembled and professionally painting them. The interest levels would inevitably lead to buyers of the moulds too.

How would I price it on the website if it was that random? there would be chaos in the order department if there was such an open ended page. However if you do want a custom order you can always email us about it or add a comment on the order asking for some adjustments. We are always willing to be flexible.

The cost per soldier would be 7 Euro. However you need to contact our order department (dispatch@...) and make a custom order. Remember that the order must be at least 20 Euro excluding shipping. When you order 3 (or groups of 3) then you gain the discounts shown on our webpage for those cast figures. www.princeaugust.ie/Cast_80-series/index.html
