I was wondering if anyone has used the PA moulds for casting in plastic and what type of release would you use.
This is a low viscosity plastic.
Thanks,
RJ

I also have the same question. Anyone ever tried it?

Resin or plastic is not suitable for casting in our moulds. While some of the moulds might allow resin to produce a reasonable cast, it is not designed with that in mind. Plastic and resin in general are too light and many moulds need the weight of the metal to fill correctly.

This subject may depend on the type of plastic though. Some are made with heat and may well mix with the material of the moulds. Some use a catalyst such as an epoxy type plastic or the stuff they use for decopage (not sure of the spelling there). These plastic products are hardened by a chemical reaction and may also damage the moulds. The thing to do is find out if they sell a pile of cheap moulds here for experimentation but remember that if ruined, you did it.
