Buy a set of Volley&Bayonet wargame rules. Familiarize yourself with the game system, then fill the gaps in your existing figure ranges to make wargamers really happy.
Buy a set of Fire&Fury American Civil War wargame rules before launching a new ACW figure range. 40 mm would be nice, but 32 mm or 1:72 scale might sell better, particularly if you provide the rank and file for large formations.

Re expanding ranges and 40mm Vikings. How about Normans mounted + foot to face the existing Saxons and Vikings? -Ross

I am very impressed with your new 40mm series molds. I hope that you may give consideration to expand the range to play off the new T.V. Series "Rome" by introducing some Romans of the period of the late Republic/Early Empire. I think this theme would translate well into mass displays and wargaming and is a perfect subject for molds. If I may add one quibble in the spirit of constructive advice: I buy molds so that I can cast multiples of a given figure to display mass. Molds such as your Lief Erickson, while producing a great fugue,e is really not appealing to me as it is so unique I would really never need more than one. Instead of making these character figures as molds, why not sell them as add on cast figures and instead offer molds that have a basic body that includes one or two head, arm or weapon options.

I would like to see more balance in the selection of figures. Example: I picked up some PA 54mm Prussian molds a while back as part of a larger lot from e-bay. While the figures are absolutely lovely I have not bothered to cast many for the simple reason that I have nothing to do with them! Since I wargame any figures I cast must have someone to fight against and with the Prussians there is nothing much available in that scale--even from other makers. With my PA 54mm Napoleonics the problem is that while you make lots of poses of one unit (the Old Guard) you only make one British line and one British Rifle unit to go with them. No cavalry or artillery just two infantry units and nothing else! I have considered getting some of the 40mm Vikings but the same problem arises, who, besides each other, would they fight? So, if PA is looking for mold ideas let me suggest that you quit wasting time with the at ease figures which, although beautiful, have a limited use and concentrate on making balanced collections of figures for all your ranges.

I agree with you on all those points and have brought those issues to the attention of Lars, our boss. The reason why we have less British troops in the 54mm range is that any we did make did not sell enough to justify making more. Our major distributor for this range is French and that highly influenced the series. The Viking series includes Saxons and many of the warriors at that time wore very similar gear, they did not really have uniforms. However I would love to see expansions on this series. I pushed for a suitable enemy for the Roman series when it was being developed and we got the Britons. I would love to see further expansions on that series. The issue with making more 54mm Naps is that it is very expensive to create as there is lots of tooling involved with separate arms, heads, etc. Currently that is quite daunting. Please note that we do want to please our customers and I will personally strangle myself if we release another 'At Ease' set.

will there be any new british naps 54mm soldiers (if not this year) 2010?? In the current market crisis (global recession) we are unlikely to make more 54mm moulds. I understand that some customers do enjoy these moulds and this news will disappoint them. I cannot state our plans for next year as I do not know what plans will be enacted then. We have several projects that we are working on, none of which have anything to do with the french or british conflicts.

we are crying out for more 54mm nap,s Really, I do not see a stream of people posting for them. There are a handful of posts asking for these. As stated we are not ignoring those who do like that series, as it is a great series, but the market at the moment does not suit the production of more.

I now have most of the 40mm moulds in the Karoliner ranges, and many of those in the Rossbach and HA ranges.
I know that it has been raised before, there are a number of additions to the Karoliner ranges which could be produced with minimal change to the masters and be very welcome: Grenadier in bearskin (for French) Fusilier in cap (for Prussians) Grenadier in cap (for Russians) Pandour in cap (for anyone) Is there any chance of these - or even a head mould for conversions?
Also, but more complex would be SYW type gunners.
