I have re descovered PA molds after probably 20years! I started as a KId when we received for Christmass a starter casting box! I remember just being blown away! making figures by yourself!!! wow!! I will probably start again and I am planning to remake (as a wargame) the siege of Turin 1706 where France was trying to conquer Piedmont but after 5 month of siege the Duke changed the position from defender to attacker witha huge cavalry charge!! any way I think making figures with PA molds is one of the cheapest ways to have figures and it is prety original! I mean hey! there is some people that do not even try to paint figures and buy it already painted!
any way I still have a copy of an old printed catalogue! from the `80ies !!! cool
ciao

My favorites Vikings is two together the 973 woman with child and the 970 with raven stand. If you put this two together you can see her scream to the Viking. -Don’t wake up the kids when you coming home late! -Must you run around with that flag every time you win the game!
One day she will use the sword against him.
Looking forward for more units in this area.

I was quite surprised by the 40mm vikings, what kind of scale is this? Too big for gaming purposes, maybe some of them could be used as giants... Most of the poses make them a bit too individual for my taste. An army of vikings carrying women looks funny but only for a few seconds. I´d preferred these vikings in 32mm. 40mm is an excellent choice for the Vikings and there are many companies that sell pre-made Vikings, Saxons and even Normans in this scale and the Prince August figures are very compatible with them. 40mm is the traditional scale of toy soldiers which is probably why PA continues improving the half round 18th century figures to this day. If you google 40mm figures you will see many companies that still manufacturer figures in this scale. My biggest complaint with FA is that they did not go full round with their new line of 7 years War so they would be compatible with the many 18th century full round figures on the market. Figures were originally half round and even flat because were making was more primitive years ago. it is silly to make such crude figures when we have the technology now to make them better.

The vikings is probably my favorite series of moulds and I would love to see this range expanded. I think the Norman invasion and the battle of Hastings 1066 would be an excellent addition and it would fit the time period.
