There are loads of websites that stock terrain parts. Some are sections of landscape that fit together and all you have to do is paint it (it may only be primed) Or you can just use MDF board and some chicken wire and paper mache. Have a look at google search engine and type in names like 'dioramas' and 'model landscapes'. You will find plenty of answers that way. I found some great ones: www.hirstarts.com/tips9/tips9.htmlDesigning Rocky Landscapes. (for example) This website has LOADS of interesting links.

If you can find some cheap injection moulded plastic terrain pieces, they are thin enough to be used as mould with lightweight wall patching compound. It comes ouit looking like resin but is extremely stable and won't crumble or be crushed when used on the tabletop.

Ive found there are loads of things you can make from scratch such as trees can be made out of balls of wire wool rolled up and coated in pva glu then put on a match stick and coated in flock ! etc

can so one help me with this molding problem. can i use lead for the druken compony molds or do i have to use metal Please look at our website for full casting tutorials. Check the top menu under 'Support'. We recommend using Model Metal for the best results, especially if you are new to casting. Dunken Company supplies different types of metal for the most part so contact them for advise as we do not produce most of the metal he sells and therefore cannot advise you in regard to their casting success. Pure lead will damage the moulds very fast, but it is possible to cast with it. We do not recommend it however and we do not offer any support for its use.
