On the 2nd of March 2011 I ordered 30 bars of Model Metal. On the 3rd I received a Thank You for my payment for the metal I replied to this email asking how long it would take for delivery and was told up to 4 days. On the 9th of March I received an Invoice for the metal. I was surprised to receive an invoice 7 days after having paid in full for the metal which I had not received, I replied to this invoice asking when my order was dispatched. On the 10th I received the following reply “Im sorry about the delay but we had a problem with the model metal as we were out of it and we were waiting to get it in. We now have the metal so your orders are going out today. Sorry about the delay.”
On the 3rd of March I had ordered some paints and not having received these or the metal on the 15th of March I enquired further, the reply I got to the part of my inquiry relating to the metal was “Your paint order was despatched yesterday and your metal order will be despatched today as we have to cast the metal into bars.”
I was told on the 10th the metal would be dispatched today and again on the 15th it would be dispatch today, can I assume that I was not being lied too and can expect two deliveries of metal as per the emails I received from Prince August on the 10th and 15th of March and does anyone know of a method of casting figures using emails as this is all I appear to be getting from Prince August.

I did not get any email from you to my knowledge, so I assume you directly contacted Joan, our dispatch manager. As a manufacturer, rather than a normal retailer, sometimes demand outstripes supply, and delays can occur due to technical reasons that are not obvious to the dispatcher when they email. I will look into the matter today and email you a response. Casting metal is not always straightforward, especially if a new batch of metal requires testing prior to casting to keep a high quality control. Other issues can occur with payment notifications getting mislaid due to paypal's annoying habit of having dozens of optional subject headers for payments and the notification (just telling us it was received) getting misfiled. Its rare but we are human. We WILL sort it out. I checked and it seems you received your order on the 18th with a bonus quantity of metal to make up for the delay.

Thank you for your reply. I did receive the metal and an extra two bars. I also received my paint order on the same day which was unfortunately incomplete. I did receive a credit note for the missing item but I doubt, having tried the paint, I will be ordering any more. I was eager to try the plastic filler but as this was the item not included in my order I did not get the opportunity.
