Haven´t tried the new 32mm moulds yet, but the idea is good since the old 25mm are very small compared to anything else these days.
I´d like to see some general humans, like the old men of the city. Of course we all need more orcs and goblins. But please, no more figures standing on one leg!!!
I really liked the old "fantasy command" idea. We make the rank and file troops ourselves and if we want leaders, musicians and standard bearers we could buy these ready made from PA. Perfect! What about re-introducing this in the 32mm scale? Who wants and army of 200 musicians anyway? Well maybe for a great fantasy "battle of the bands"...

What happened to the excellent "fantasy command" concept from the 80-90´s?<br> I never understood the idea of moulding 45 standard bearers, drummer and officers anyway. Why cant we buy those ready made and focus on the ordinary troops instead?

Fantasy command may not have been continued because sales of single figures did not warrent it. The advantage of a mould is that the customer can always cast new figures, even years later, in a few minutes. If a figure is damaged or lost you can simply cast another immediately. it is very convienent. We may have some of the old fantasy command in stock, if you have a number or name of a desired piece we can look it up.

Were there different moulds used for Fantasy Command? I can only remember the traditional Orc With Bow, and the likes, which are still available. What other fantasy moulds existed in the 80s that aren't sold now?

The 32 mm moulds are just great,,,,at last am I able to re-experience the great elven wars of "the silmarilion".. High elves, sylvan elves....they're just excellent. I just miss some "lighter" armoured elves that can be used as "grey elves",,,, and/or a few elf personalities,,like elven kings and queens.... Any thoughts of doing any molds like that in the future Keep up the wonderful work ! O. Pettersson Sweden

Looking forward to the orc release. If they look as nice as the elves then it will be a great set. Who is the sculpter?

Pettersson Sweden I think we would stay away from personalities as they have proven poor sellers where moulds are concerned. If you want a king why not simply buy a LOTR king or Hero from Mithril, our sister site. www.mithril.ie/

But I still love the figures though....

I think I suggested this earlier, but how about selling the Turin series of Mithril minis as generic fantasy personalities to go with the 32mm mould sets? Have them for special order only?

Gavin We have considered that but we felt it cheapens the series a bit. We do have many of that series in stock, it is just we cannot advertise it. If you want some let me know.

Well, be devious, put 'em on eBay via a proxy - its somewhat sad that you've got some high quality and rather cool minis in stock and can't sell them.
I do think that some of the MERP character minis should be released as generic minis, in support of the 32mm fantasy armies series.
(Picked up a few on eBay a few months back - they'd work rather well as "generic" characters).
anyway, back to work for me.

The mould I have used the most is one of your barbarian moulds the one with the excellent casting of saxon with spear, celt with sword, and a huscarl/viking. Saxons fill up my ranks in the saxon army for WAB, and their size mixes with other historical figures from gripping beast or old glory. A bunch of archers with tunics would be ideal for almost any army, either fantasy or historical. There could potentially be a whole line of generic human figures that could fill up the ranks in a fantasy army or historical army. However I think the castings of 28mm-30mm would be be more valuable to wargamers at large.
