I've checked the PA site and i sent them an email with my interest in selling the models, but does any one who already does this have any more information?
Are their any restrictions to what i can sell?
What is the fee i must pay? and anything else useful to casting and handling the models

I see your in AZ, USA. I don't know about any local rules or restrictions there but in Illinois, no one cares what you sell in the way of those items. Naturally they tax you to death if you report selling anything though. With all the stuff about Lead killing off the entire world lately, you should check local laws about selling anything with Lead in it. By me at flea markets, hobby stores, etc all kinds of items are being sold with and/or without Lead. So if you talking about the finished product, that is one thing. If you want to sell the actual Moulds that PA sells, you may want to ask him. If you want details about such sails in the USA you may want to contact The Dunken Company. They already sell all such moulds from PA. www.Dunken.com or email Rich@Dunken.com or fax to 931-964-2679 I purchase all my moulds from them.

The license for selling cast or painted figures from our moulds vary depending on where you plan on selling them. 1st point: ALL our moulds are copyrighted. You do not buy the right to sell them anywhere when you buy the mould, you buy the right to cast them for personal use not resale. The resulting castings are still under copyright. Ok, now that is clear the rules for a FREE license is as follows: If you are selling at local venues like car boot sales or fairs then it is FREE and we will supply you with a license once you tell us which moulds you are using. We do require you inform your customers that the castings came from Prince August moulds but were NOT cast by Prince August staff. The rules for a royalty license is as follows: If you plan on selling castings or painted figures from our moulds at a brick and mortar shop then you must supply us with your postal address of that shop or online via ANY website (including auction sites like ebay) then you must include the link to that site. The same requirement to inform customers that you are using Prince August moulds but the resulting castings were NOT made by Prince August staff is valid. The license cost is 10 Euro PER mould or 500 castings. Mould sets like the 80-sets (3 moulds) are discounted to 25 Euro for a license. Overall if you supply us with a list of moulds we can work out a total price. This will be added to a license pdf and sent to you. NOTE: we do not give royalty permission for ANY chess set castings at all as it conflicts with our gift site. www.edmancollection.comAny report of sale of cast figures from our moulds WITHOUT our license agreement (royalty) wll result in legal action. The Free license is not required for local venues, but helps validate your activity.

I would suggest you go ahead and sell any models you make as the prince August claim to copyright is spurious to say the least. In order to enforce such a Copyright Prince August would have to prove they explained the conditions of sale before they sold you the moulds. Although it is years since I bought a Prince August mould I do not remember anyone ever telling me there were conditions attached to the purchase. If you look at Prince August’s own auctions on Ebay there is no mention of conditions attached to the purchase of their moulds.

I would advise being careful telling people to break our copyright rules on selling our cast figures from moulds, you have no right to suggest otherwise. All figures you cast remain copyrighted by us. You can only use moulds to cast them not resell them without our permission. The basic license for local sales at car boot sale venues is free. Selling via any website, including third party auction sites require a very reasonable royalty fee. We will and have taken action against past breaches of our copyright.
