Has PA ever considered making giant robots a la Battletech? Currently the prices for Battletech models are an astounding $11-12 dollars a figure, which is okay for model kits that come in multiple pieces, but there's still room for competition from PA. Cost is something that PA does well on, and could easily compete with official products that are available, and could do very well at.
There's a few models like the Hunchback and the Urbanmech that are one-piece figures, and there's no reason PA couldn't do a mold of 3 one-piece giant robots.
Battletech isn't really specific on what mech counts-as which model, so you can use other figures (from PA) as battlemechs
Also, currently Battletech figures are hard to get ahold of in bulk. There is only one way to get ahold of the newest sprue, and that is to buy the $60 25th anniversary starter set. You can try and track down the old Plastech sets but they are increasingly rare, and not good quality. A PA mold would solve this problem, as one could churn out giant robots en masse.
Collecting an army, of say, 100 or 200 battlemechs for Battletech is a farce, since each battlemech costs $11 for $12. Total cost is $1100-1200, which is astronomical.
In addition, the quality of all but the two premium quality mechs that come in the $60 starter is pretty dire. There is room for a competitor to produce high-quality, high-detail giant robots.
For these reasons, I think PA should consider making a mold of 1:285th, 6mm scale giant robots that gamers can use in their games of Battletech
Thank you for your time.
